Mika se ne vraca u Formulu 1, ali rally...

More rally events on the horizon for Hakkinen?
"Let's see how this rally is going to go."

It was reported on Tuesday that former double world champion, Mika Hakkinen, who announced his retirement from the sport earlier this year, will take part in the Arctic Rally of Lapland next year behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII WRC2.

The Finn has now stated that should he do well in the event, that gets underway on the 24th of January 2003, he will seriously contemplate competing in other rounds.

"Let's see how this rally is going to go. It will definitely give me more of an idea for what it feels like," Hakkinen told Reuters. "If I am in the top two, then probably I will do more."

The January race is the first round of the European Rally Championship and Mika has been busy testing this week ahead of his debut. Like the rest of the rally world, Mika will take a break over the festive season and return for more preparation work after the New Year.
