Potvrdjeno. Mark Hamill i u ep 8 - Mark Hamill Reports to Set of Star Wars: Episode VIII
Quote:
Luke Skywalker is reportedly back in action for Star Wars: Episode VIII, according to reports from Ireland.

The Irish Examiner says cast and crew members are gathering in County Kerry to film scenes off the coast on the rocky isle of Skellig Michael, which also served as a location on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Unfortunately, bad weather conditions have reportedly impacted the shoot there.

"A crew of around 100 people and cast members, including Mark Hamill who will reprise his Luke Skywalker role, are expected to be on the boats due to leave Portmagee today at 7am," reports the Examiner, which included a photo of Hamill's son Nathan checking into his local hotel.

We learned last week that Episode VIII would be shooting in Ireland this month. Skellig Michael was a monastic settlement between the sixth and twelfth centuries. And while we know for certain until The Force Awakens opens, persistent rumors claim the ruins of Skellig Michael double as Luke Skywalker's hideaway.

Quote:
-There were around 100 film crew members working on the island.
-They came on a powerful boat that takes only 20minutes to get from Portmagee to the island.
-Production lasted three days.
-They wanted to begin on Monday originally, but the weather was so bad that no one could get on or off the island. So they began on Tuesday, and finished on Thursday night.
-They’d booked another three days, but they didn’t need them in the end, it was wrapped up a lot quicker than expected, thanks to the weather improving.
-There were only four helicopter landings allowed.
Quote:
-Most of the material used had to be brought in by boat, and despite how heavy some of it was, people working on the set had to carry it on their shoulders all the way up the steps to the various areas around the island where scenes were shot.
-Daisy was filming a fighting scene from 8am one day in a flat area up a first set of steps.
-The effects team made some fake rocks. One of them was placed where Daisy shot one of the action scenes. She was swinging around. You’d imagine they’ll add her lightsabers during the editing…(or bo staff )
-A 15 minute-climb leads to the monastery, a few meters from where another fight scene was reportedly shot.

Jedna dosta zgodna vijest... Glasina, zapravo.

A team in the U.K. are soon heading to the U.S. to begin training Hayden Christensen for a Star Wars: Episode VIII appearance of some sort.

Trening? Opa. Vjerojatno neće biti duh.

Hm, zanimljiva glasina.

Cinemablend - Star Wars Episode 8 May Bring Back A Cast Member From The Prequels

RUMOR: Hayden Christensen May Appear As 'Darth Vader' In STAR WARS EPISODE VIII
Quote:
Rumours have been swirling all year about Darth Vader possibly making an appearance in Godzilla helmer Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One, and that's something which makes a lot of sense, especially when you take into account the fact that the movie takes place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Well, Making Star Wars (who have been fairly reliable for Star Wars rumours over the past couple of years) belive that there's a chance we will be seeing him as, "a fully operational Darth Vader chest piece along with the helmet made it to the creature shop." That's interesting and all, but here's where things take something of a surprising turn.

One of their sources claim that, "A team in the U.K. are soon heading to the U.S. to begin training Hayden Christensen for a Star Wars: Episode VIII appearance of some sort." They don't have any additional information beyond that, but this wouldn't be all that surprising, whether the actor is brought back to appear in the suit for flashbacks (he did after all wear it for Vader's scenes in Revenge of the Sith) or to possibly further flesh out Anakin Skywalker's backstory. Hell, he may even be a Force Ghost! We're really going to have to wait and see, and it's best to take this with a pinch of salt for now. What do you think? As always, weight in with your thoughts and theories below.

Luke Skywalker's Role In Star Wars 7 (And 8) Revealed By New Merchandise
Quote:
Last year CinemaBlend reported the theory that Luke Skywalker may have been appointed the guardian of this Sith tomb, to prevent acolytes of the Dark Side from reaching it. The tomb was supposedly filmed on location at Skellig Island in Ireland, an area which is being used again for Star Wars Episode 8. And of course, Mark Hamill has been spotted there for both shoots (in 2014 for Star Wars Episode 7, and 2015 for Star Wars 8).
Quote:
Right now it seems like Star Wars Episode 7 will end with Finn and Rey finding Luke, and discovering he's not quite as they imagined, while Star Wars 8 will deal with him training them to be Jedi.

Lawrence Kasdan will not be returning for Star Wars: Episode VIII
Quote:
Writer Lawrence Kasdan will not be returning for Star Wars: Episode VIII. According to an interview with German tabloid Bild, the upcoming, untitled Han Solo spinoff film will be his last contribution to the Star Wars franchise. “I have now made four Star Wars movies [including the Han Solo project]. That’s more than enough,” Kasdan says. Kasdan is currently writing the Solo-centric standalone film with son Jon.

The return of Kasdan as screenwriter was a major coup for the makers of The Force Awakens: Kasdan, along with producer Gary Kurtz, has long been credited as two of the major forces in the success of The Empire Strikes Back, which many fans consider to be the best film in the Star Wars franchise. (Kasdan also co-wrote Return Of The Jedi and even had a hand in Shadows Of The Empire.) Known for his quick dialogue and old Hollywood sensibilities, The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams has said that working with Kasdan was like “taking an extended master class in filmmaking.”

JJ Abrams confirms Star Wars: Episode VIII script is complete
Quote:
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been building up momentum with the latest TV spot teasing Rey's family connections and the exciting new character banners, and on top of that, Episode 7 director J.J. Abrams has been building up more hype for Episode VIII! Speaking to Wired, Abrams confirmed that Star Wars: Episode VIII director Rian Johnson has finished writing the first draft of the script, though there'll surely be plenty of rewrites to come. Other than directing and writing Episode 8, Rian Johnson is best known for his brilliant sci-fi thriller Looper. Rian's inventive approach to time travel in that film was truly thought-provoking and highly entertaining, so here at melty we're looking forward to seeing his unique spin on the Star Wars universe. Episode 8 isn't scheduled for release until May 16, 2017 and filming doesn't begin until next year, so the production team have plenty of time to capture the magic of what makes the Star Wars films so great.

Kapetanica Phasma će čini se preživjeti EP VII i imati još veću ulogu u EP VIII.

Kathleen Kennedy o Phasmi.

Quote:
But you won’t see Phasma tapping out after being carelessly knocked into a sarlacc pit like a wobbly toddler. Kennedy has big plans for Phasma and confirmed that the captain will carry on into the next movie. “She’s an important character, a baddie in the best sense of the word.”

Quote:
Let’s start with the biggest pieces of information first – the rumored new actress for the film is the 65-year-old Geraldine James. James’s credits include Ghandi, Sherlock Holmes (2009) and its sequel A Game Of Shadows, Alice In Wonderland (2010), The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo (2011), and 45 Years. James is said to be ready to travel to Spain for filming in the near future.
I ponešto o novim setovima.

Quote:
The sets were also interesting to note, as the sources also mentioned that there were desert sets being built. Their sources seemed to believed that these sets were meant to represent Tatooine – however, Clone Corridor speculated that the sets being built could be for Jakku, due to some similarities in architecture for the two planets. They also noted that one set – not necessarily related to the ones described above – is nearly complete, and it includes the Millennium Falcon.

Finally, the sources spotted a model of a long-necked monster under construction inside Pinewood Studios. The sources could not get any clear details beyond that, as they only saw a passing glance of the creature. Clone Corridor has stated that the monster might be for another Star Wars project like Rogue One as opposed to Episode VIII.

'We're excited to get back together': Kathleen Kennedy confirms the ENTIRE Star Wars: The Force Awakens cast will be returning for Episode VIII
Quote:
Just as the highly anticipated sci-fi sequel is hitting cinemas, movie producer Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed the next instalment starts shooting in January.
The Lucasfilm President, who famously produced E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and the Jurassic Park franchise, revealed the acclaimed cast of young and old stars such as John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Anthony Daniels will be back.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the European premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in London's Leicester Square on Wednesday night, she said: ‘There will be a handful of new cast members in Episode VIII but also all the cast members you see here tonight will be in it as well.

‘We're excited to get back together. We start shooting Episode VIII in January, we've been prepping the movie for the last year and (writer-and-director) Rian Johnson has been doing an amazing job.’

Praktički znali smo radnju TFA mjesecima, neke stvari godinu dana prije nego je film izašao upravo preko glasina i raznih leakova.
