U četvrtak 19.10. u klubu Močvara Živa muzika organizira nastup popularne američke producentice elektroničke glazbe Laurel Halo. Kao predgrupa nastupit će Strahinja Arbutina, na zagrebačkoj sceni poznat kao suosnivač labela low income $quad, te slovenski producent Christian Kroupa pod novim alter egom Alleged Witches orijentiranom na mračni ambijentalni zvuk.

Laurel Halo, inventivna američka producentica trenutno bazirana u Berlinu, enigmatična je pojava na međunarodnoj glazbenoj sceni. Naklonost kritike stekla je još 2012. kada je kultni glazbeni magazin The Wire njen album ‘Quarantine’ proglasio najboljim glazbenim izdanjem godine. Iako bi njezina ranija izdanja za cijenjenu etiketu Hyperdub, poput spomenutog ‘Quarantine’ i ‘Chance of Rain’ iz 2013., mogli svrstati u domenu minimalističkog i introvertiranog techna, novi album ‘Dust’ ostavlja nas zbunjenima – na najbolji mogući način!
Univerzalno hvaljeni ‘Dust’ istražuje nova područja ritma i manipulacije glasa na način na koji to rade neki/e od najistaknutijih suvremenika/ca s elektroničke scene poput Actressa, Jlin ili pak Holly Herndon. Radi se, također, o njenom prvom albumu obilježenim suradnjama, i to redom sa sjajnim glazbenicama kao što su Julia Holter, LAFAWNDAH i Klein, te američkim avangardnim perkusionistom Elijem Keszlerom. Ne birajući lakši put, Laurel Halo odbija ostati vjerna jednom stilu, što je vidljivije nego ikad na novom albumu, na kojem kulminira sklonost kompleksnim poliritmičnim i ekspresionističkim beatovima. Njeni glazbeni eksperimenti uvijek ostaju pristupačni zahvaljujući uvjetno rečeno veselijim trenucima i obilatim korištenjem avant-pop struktura.
Na poziv poznatog berlinskog festivala za digitalnu kulturu Transmediale ranije ove godine sudjelovala je u multimedijalnom projektu ‘Still Be Here’ u kojem se dekonstruira persona japanske virtualne pop zvijezde Hatsune Miku. U live nastupu svestrana Laurel Halo majstorski isprepliće suvremenu techno produkciju s ambijentalnim ali i uvrnutim avant-pop dijelovima te intrigantnom vokalnom izvedbom.

Satoshi Tomiie has been a pioneering and driving force within the global house community since the late 80s. Now, decades after his most enduring hit ‘Tears’ alongside late Chicago legend Frankie Knuckles, the Japanese born, New York and Paris based DJ, producer, remixer and label boss is as relevant as ever as he launches a new label and album. In his colorful and acclaimed career, Satoshi has laid the corner stone of careers for artists like Robert Owens, has had seminal releases on labels like Strictly Rhythm & FFRR, turned out mix compilations for Renaissance and has played every major club and festival on every major continent from London to Lisbon, Tokyo to Turin.

A student of jazz and classical piano, he is a musically adept and accomplished producer who’s 2015 album New Day is not just a collection of singles, but rather an immersive musical journey that touches on many rich styles and sounds from deep to song based, instrumental to emotional resonant. It lands as the first release on his brand new label Abstract Architecture (his second alongside the taste making and influential SAW.RECORDINGS) and the releases that follow promise to find Satoshi producing more club focused and DJ friendly stuff.

Along the way highlights have included 1990 Satoshi Tomiie feat. Arnold Jarvis ‘And I Loved You’, the 1991 tour with Ryuichi Sakamoto in support of his Heatbeat LP, 1994 Loop 7 ‘The Theme’ on Strictly Rhythm, 1999 1st Album ‘Full Lick’, winning an Ibiza DJ Award for Best Tech House DJ in 2001, various solo releases on SAW during the 2000s and 2010s, and his recent standout Love Unlimited EP with Matthias Voigt in 2014.

Over the years, Satoshi has evolved how he works, and as such is as adept when playing vinyl as he is CDJs, Serato, Traktor or with iPads, and always lays down sets infused with real passion and understanding. In the studio, too, he is as confident with hardware as he is with software, and it means the way he organically integrates digital and analog production and playback techniques continually inspire both him and the crowds he plays to.

Boogaloo Club Zagreb

Gustafi su prvi put za Martinje svirali u Zagrebu 2001. Već druge godine pridružuju im se istarski vinari sa svojim vinima i to postaje legendarna zagrebačka štala, koja je rasla i širila se dalje. Gustafovska publika hrlila je na tu svetkovinu vina i glazbe, pripremalo se za tu feštu mjesecima priji i ona se kontinuirano održavala sve do 2012. godine. 2003. HRT snimio je legendarni koncert Gustafi uživo, koji se i dan danas povremeno reprizira, a 2008. Gustafi su na istom mjestu snimili i live DVD i CD. Od 2012. Iako se jedno vrijeme odustaje od daljnjeg organiziranja zagrebačkog Martinja s Gustafima, Gustafi odonda Martinje slave po drugim mjestima, ali oduvijek je postaojala žal za Matrinjem u Zagrebu.

"Konačno se ove godine našao zainteresirani organizator, klub Boogaloo, koji na sveopće zadovoljsto fanova Martinja namjerava sjaj i slavu ove manifestacije vratiti i podignuti na nekadašnji nivo."

Istarski vinari redom su podržali ovu manifestaciju gdje će se moći kušati njihova vina, a neki od njih će i osobno prisustvovati štali

Ivan Oberan - Sarajevski DJ i dizajner sa zagrebačkom adresom. Inače Oberön, osnivač Cosmic Vibes-a koji ima za cilj promociju svega što spada pod bass muziku. Dio je i FRüHSTüCK ekipe sa kojima radi znimljive dnevne i večernje evente. Oberön je član sarajevske ekipe Concrete Jungle koja se bavi svim što ima u podznaku dnb i dubstep. Sa kolegom Akuul-om čini dvojac Oberkuul, koji u zadnje vrijeme traži i svoju soničnu adresu i mjesto pod suncem i u drugim smjerovima kao što su house, techno. Od 11.11. resident je programa MAGIC u kojem servira samo magične house melodije!

Bruno Vojvodić - Brun Dux na scenu je ušao organizirajući United Electronic Sound evente koji su bili triger za njegovu odluku da stane za DJ pult i predstavi svoje znanje i glazbenu viziju. Dugogodišnjim radom kao organizator i resident DJ UES-a, uz neka od najvećih svjetskih DJ imena, 2015-e postaje rezident kultnog kluba na Zrću - Kalypso gdje redovito svira na warm up i after večerima nekih od najposjećenijih događanja i festivala otoka Paga (Sonus, Hideout, Barrakud, Elrow, ...). Stil kojem teži je eklektičan, prirodan i dinamičan, a njegova upornost i konstantna nadogradnja dovele su ga i do organizacija evenata te nastupa u poznatim londonskim klubovima kao što su Ministry of Sound, Egg London, XOYO, Lightbox, SO.UK i Gigalum. Od 11.11. organizator je I resident programa MAGIC u kojem servira samo magične house beatove!

Not many artists are lucky enough to release a track that defies genre classification and reaches into mainstream culture, with people enthusiastically embracing its melody and adopting it as if it were a football anthem.

DAVE CLARKE BIOGRAPHY :

Dave Clarke is a DJ with an anarchist streak a mile wide and punk in his soul.
Nothing says this as potently as his new album, ‘The Desecration of Desire’. Electronic to the hilt yet full of rich, dark songwriting, it’s been almost two years in the making and comes 14 years after his last full-length outing.

“The desire to write songs has been bubbling in me for ages,” Clarke explains, “My first album was a collection of tracks, the ‘Red’ series of EPs, plus other stuff. With my second, even access to my studio was an issue. Those two felt like collections. This one’s more like a book, a chronology. I’m so happy with my studio. I’ve stayed away from club music. Finally, it’s just me, my imagination and a touch of fearlessness about opening up.”

Dave Clarke has long embraced sounds outside staunch electronic dance, from Savages to Idles to old favourites Bauhaus. Such music informs his attitude as a DJ, using Serato on a 13” Macbook Pro Retina for ruthlessly effective, fat-free techno and electro sets. It also heavily flavours his new album, on which he’s worked with vocalists such as US alt-rocker Mark Lanegan, gothic synth don Mt. Sims, Brighton electronic artist Gazelle Twin, and Portishead associate Anika. He’s even included a version of new wave cult hit ‘Is Vic There?’ (originally by Department S) featuring Paris-based DJ-producer Louisahhh.

A serious car crash in Serbia in July 2016 also affected Clarke. It fed into the album’s pensive mood, and gave him a desire to DJ less but to inject more of himself into the sets he takes on. “I still love DJing with a passion,” he enthuses, “but the album also ignited a flame within me about making music, about being totally true to myself. It’s been a long time coming…”

Dave Clarke was born and raised in Brighton, England, but currently resides in Amsterdam, a city which revitalized his life and work. The offspring of a technology loving father and a disco-soul loving mother, it was always evident that Clarke would cut a swathe through music. As a youth he ran away from home, sleeping in car parks and on beaches. He took lousy jobs in shoe shops, living off £5 a day, to subsidise his income from badly paid local DJ gigs – anything to further his involvement with music.

“I didn't really engage at all with the outside world,” he recalls, “I was your typical disenfranchised JD Salinger-inspired young adult that used to hide in and behind music.”

Clarke’s debut release was in 1990 on XL, around the time the label was launching The Prodigy. He used the name Hardcore, a guise he then took to the legendary Belgian techno-rave imprint R&S where he released various EPs (some as Directional Force). By 1992 Clarke’s own label, Magnetic North, was on the rise and he unveiled the classic ‘Alkaline 3dh’ (as Fly By Wire), among others. A next level career boost was round the corner when his ‘Red’ trilogy were unleashed on Bush Records in 1994. These catapulted Clarke into a different league and he suddenly found himself remixing the likes of Kevin Saunderson’s Inner City, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, Depeche Mode, Moby, Leftfield and Underworld. Undisputed landmarks in techno, DJ Mag rightly incorporated ‘Red’ in its All Time Techno Top 100 list.

Clarke’s debut album ‘Archive One’ followed, flecked with hints of breakbeat and electronica, a novelty in the puritanical techno scene of the time. Clarke’s mix CDs include the techno/electro double ‘World Service’ outings, one of which sold nearly 100,000 and made it into Resident Advisor’s top ten mix compilations of the 21st century. He signed to Skint Records – home of Fatboy Slim – resulting in 2004’s ‘Devil’s Advocate’ album, jammed with dark techno energy but laced with hip hop beats. When his production pace ebbed, Music Man Records gathered together ‘Remixes & Rarities’ in 2007, making Album Of The Month in Mixmag and receiving critical plaudits all over.

After a break from production, recent years saw Clarke make his presence felt again, working with Dutch partner Mr Jones (Jonas Uittenbosch) as _Unsubscribe_ and dropping remixes ranging from John Foxx’s seminal synth-pop gem ‘Underpass’ to Gesaffelstein, Detroit Grand Pubas and Octave One, as well cutting tracks for labels such as Houndstooth and Boysnoize. In 2016 an album of remixes, ‘Charcoal Eyes (A Selection of Remixes From Amsterdam)’, ranging from Placebo to A Place to Bury Strangers, suggested Clarke was revitalized in the studio. The new album confirms it and includes a track made with virtuoso producer Keith Tenniswood (AKA Radioactive Man).

As a DJ, Clarke plays out three weekends a month across Europe and the world, living up to his nickname, the Baron of Techno, a moniker given him by the late, great BBC Radio DJ John Peel. There’s the same attention to detail each time, his sets swooping whip-smart along the cutting blade of techno and electro, backed up by a seasoned bag of DJ tricks in which his early hip hop roots clearly show. Techno’s first and original “Man in Black”, Clarke blends into the background upon arrival and lets his music do the talking. That’s where he comes alive, where skills honed for years blow venues apart.

From small, sweaty clubs to the likes of Fabric, Fuse or Tresor, Clarke nurtures an extraordinary relationship with the crowd. It’s the same with festivals. He’s played Awakenings, I Love Techno, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Glastonbury and Nature One, and developed a special relationship with Tomorrowland where he has his own stage. Here he’s showcased names such as Green Velvet, Vitalic, Heidi, Seth Troxler, Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills and Ben Klock. Clarke also continues to be a key player in the Amsterdam Dance Event where his Dave Clarke Presents event at Melkweg has sold out 11 consecutive years running.

And then there’s White Noise, Clarke's weekly radio show, a global institution and an indicator of where the scene is headed, more than 600 editions in and going out on over 100 FM partners worldwide. Here Clarke casts light on aspiring producers he discovers in his Dropbox alongside more established artists.

“I’ve never been interested in what’s trendy and what’s not,” Clarke explains, “but the best music comes to me every single day and I want to share it.”
His affiliation with technology makes him the perfect ambassador for brands such as Serato, Soundtoys, Waves and French gear manufacturer Arturia, as these are the tools of his trade. Deep down, however, Dave Clarke continues to buck predictability and to do his own thing. He flies the flag for true techno spirit. Whether it’s pushing cutting edge sounds on far-flung dancefloors or producing the haunting Mark Lanegan-fronted ‘Monochrome Sun’ from his new album, he has a consistency of vision and purpose rare in the ever-changing world of dance music.

In short, Dave Clarke might be established, but he will never be establishment.

Vatrogasci su hrvatski raznožanrovski glazbeni sastav osnovan 1991. godine u Zagrebu. Prva “vatrogasna” melodija snimljena je krajem 1991. godine pod nazivom “Vatrogasac Mirko”.

Tiho (Tihomir Borošak) i Deki (Dean Parmak) kompanjoni u smislu studijskog rada, snimili su je tijekom jednosatne pauze dok su čekali slijedećeg klijenta. Pošto je trebalo pjesmu i otpjevati pozvali su Bubija (Vladimir Pavelić), tadašnjeg kolegu iz pratećeg banda Jasne Zlokić.

“Vatrogasac Mirko” je ubrzo postala najpresnimavanija pjesma među glazbenicima. Po njoj su Vatrogasci i dobili ime. Uslijedile su “Ritam iza denser”, “Više-manje, manje više” i “Ženićute”.

Nakon što su te četiri melodije napravile čudo, diskografska kuća “Euroton” ponudila se za izdavača te je u lipnju 1992. izašao prvijenac pod nazivom “Vatrogasna zabava vol.1”. To je prvi i zadnji album na kojem su Vatrogasci djelovali kao trio. Dean Parmak radi privatnih razloga napušta band i ostaju samo Tiho i Bubi te snimaju još tri albuma; Tiho piše pjesme i aranžmane a Bubi pjeva.

Nakon četvrtog albuma (Vatrogasna zabava vol.4) Bubiju je dosadilo i potpisuje petogodišnji ugovor sa Novim fosilima kao bubnjar i vokal.

Tiho nalazi novog pjevača Mladena Martinovića-Dugog i sa njime nastavlja vatrogasnu produkciju te su do danas snimili još 8 albuma. Početkom 2007. Dugi napušta Vatrogasce radi privatnih obaveza, a Gugi (Goran Borošak) nastavlja kao novi (treći) vokal.

Sastav je najpoznatiji po obradama pjesmama drugih autora te njihovom parodiranju, pretvarajući ih u narodnjačku glazbu. Uz obrade, sastav snima i autorske skladbe. Do sada su snimili 12 studijskih albuma, te jedan kompilacijski

Pozdrav svima,

prije nekoliko tjedana sam kupio ulaznice preko navedene firme i trebali su poslati karte poštom - preporučeno. Kako nismo preuzeli ulaznice jer nismo bili u Zg, tražim ih e-mailom, mobitelom da vidim što je sa ulaznicama ali nitko ne odgovara.
