Nažalost na hrvatskom jeziku imaš jedino Ultimate X-Men serijal koji je izdan negdje do pola zajedno sa Ultimate Spider-Manom i zatim ugašen zbog problema s prodajom prava. Nema ga već tri godine. Također je izašlo šest retro brojeva regularne serije u devedesetima i dva story-arca odličnih Astonishing X-Mena (jedan u sveskama, drugi kao knjiga), te još strip adaptacija filma X-Men 2.

Ono najbolje nismo ni vidjeli na našemu jeziku, iako je Ultimate X-Men odličan, posebno dok ga je pisao Mark Millar.

Rus je vjerojatno Colossus, Indijanac... Hm, prvi mi na pamet pada Warpath (koji bi se trebao pojaviti u DOFP). Možda je u pitanju X-Men u izdanju Slobodne Dalmacije iz 90-tih. Izašlo je šest brojeva, bile su većinom epizode iz sedamdesetih unutra, sa scenarijima Lena Weina i Chrisa Claremonta.

“The credits bumper jumps back to the past with a young Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) in a ramshackle house in the desert eating dinner, clearly on the run from all the authorities who want to bring him down. While using a well outside to get some water, the young Magneto sees something fall from the night sky and crash to Earth nearby. Upon inspecting the impact zone, he encounters what is described as an “alien form” who is “towering, terrifying, with a twisted metal face and dark pits for eyes.” It’s Apocalypse and he says, “I have crossed rivers of time to find you.” Magneto asks, “Who are you?”

Ono kaj bi zapravo bilo glupo u filmu je ovo - Exclusive: How 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Teases 'Apocalypse' Sequel

After speaking with an insider following the announcement of X-Men: Apocalypse, it was made apparent that they knew who was going to play the titular villain. More specifically, it was explained to me who becomes Apocalypse. Yes, an existing X-Men character will become possessed by the villain who can project his consciousness and powers into host bodies.

After all, now that Magneto has been possessed by Apocalypse, that would likely shake things up for the X-Men of the future again. Will we again jump back and forth in time with X-Men: Apocalypse? That seems a little too complex for non-comic book fans to follow but one cool aspect that could result from this though could allow for two different timelines: one with young Magneto possessed by Apocalypse, and the other future timeline. But again, that sounds pretty complicated.

Alien ne znači nužno vanzemaljac. Alien se inače najbolje može prevesti kao "stranac", ali zbog pop kulture je izraz poprimio značenje malih zelenih. Sukladno s time, "alien form" samo govori da je jako čudnog izgleda stranom ljudima.

Čekamo svi tu after-credits scenu. Opet.

Ja se nadam da ce biti i neki leak online te scene i prije proljeca, iako su sanse za to slabe.


OT: X-Men: Apocalypse To Be Direct Sequel To Days Of Future Past With Many Of The Same Cast

Days of Future Past will lead directly into Apocalypse. There’s a clear narrative thread that will string the two pictures together, and the character of Apocalypse is a good part of how this will work.

Several cast members of Days of Future Past will be wanted back for Apocalypse, including members of both the “past” and “present” timelines.

I can’t find out who has signed or even who might have entered negotiations, but I do know who is on the shopping list and, in short, it’s everybody. Or, to be more precise, it’s a direct continuation, a next chapter that picks up the status quo at the end of Days and carries on developing it.

This doesn’t mean there won’t be new characters. Several new characters. And that some old favourites will get much smaller roles. Because that’s all expected too.

In a photo that he shared on Twitter, Singer was in a meeting with "Days of Future Past" writer Simon Kinberg as well as "X2: X-Men United" screenwriters Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris!

The additional tweet about "Snowing in Egypt" refers to the origin of Apocalypse, whose real name is En Sabah Nur.
From the Marvel database, the origin of Apocalypse is described:
"En Sabah Nur was born nearly five thousand years ago in a lone settlement on the very edge of the Amentet and the very edge of the Valley of the Kings, in Egypt, as a member of a tribe in Akkaba."
The root of his hatred is traced to how his own tribe had treated him because he was visibly different.

'X-Men: Apocalypse' will be connected to 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' and explore mutant origins

Singer also teased the story of Apocalypse, which could have some pretty interesting implications:
"It will also address historical mutant-cy, meaning the deep past, mutant origins and things like that. It's something that's always intrigued me when we think about our Gods and our history and miracles and powers."
In the comics, Apocalypse is the first mutant, so that could explain the "deep past" part of Singer's quote. Given that Days of Future Past will involve time travel, anything seems to be possible in the X-Men universe that the director is building.

Director Bryan Singer has rubbished rumours that fans will be treated to a first look at Apocalypse in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Singer revealed that he will be directing X-Men: Apocalypse, which will roll out on May 27, 2016.

However fans will have to wait until then to see Apocalypse – the immortal mutant who claims to be the first of its kind – as he will not appear in the forthcoming Days of Future Past.

The director also slammed speculation that Apocalypse would take the form of alien which possesses Magneto (Michael Fassbender).

‘That’s not the case’ he told Empire, ‘People were concerned we were making Apocalypse an alien. It’s odd. I don’t know where that came from.’

He divulged some details about the third instalment, revealing that it will closely follow the comic book origins.

‘What would people thousands of years ago, without the benefit of science, think mutants were? And more importantly, what would mutants thousands of years ago think they were? Gods? Titans? Angels? Demons?

‘If such mutants did exist thousands of years ago, what became of them? Did one survive?’

X-Men: Apocalypse – Patrick Stewart & Ian McKellen Want In

While X-Men: Apocalypse has been announced for a May 27, 2016 release date, very little else has been actually confirmed about the film. While Singer has reportedly indicated that X-Men: Apocalypse will feature the younger cast only, it appears that some of the older X-Men cast isn’t giving up hope on making it into the film.
In a video interview with BuzzFeed Brews, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart were asked what the chances were of them being a part of X-Men: Age of Apocalypse.

McKellen replied, “I don’t see how they can do it without us, really. Do you? I think if enough people start sending messages to Bryan Singer and Lauren Shuler Donner, then yeah.”
Patrick Stewart said, “How can anything be apocalyptic without Magneto and Xavier? It doesn’t make sense.”
McKellen, who earlier joked about not having to wear the helmet in X-Men: Days of Future Past, added, “I would even wear the helmet. I really would.”

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ is an 80s Period Piece; New ‘Days of Future Past’ Images

One X-Men project that still remains largely a mystery is X-Men: Apocalypse. Set for release in 2016, X-Men: Apocalypse will be a direct sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, rather than a spin-off movie, and Singer has said that the events of Days of Future Past will bring about Apocalypse (that’s a little ominous).

Singer elaborated a little on the plot and setting of X-Men: Apocalypse in his interview with TF:

“We’re going to deal the the notion of ancient mutants – the fact they were born and existed thousands of years ago. But it’ll be a contemporary movie – well, it’ll take place in the ’80s… The ’80s is a period now – it’s hard for me to believe that! Apocalypse will have more of the mass destruction that X-Men films, to date, have not relied upon. There’s definitely now a character and a story that allow room for that kind of spectacle. We’re currently breaking the story. We’re almost ready to go. Dan Harris, Michael Dougherty and Simon Kinberg are in the office across the street from me, working on story stuff right now. It’s great to have Dan and Michael back.”

According to Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse will once again introduce younger versions of characters who haven’t yet appeared in the prequel storyline (like Cyclops, for example).

“I don’t want to get too specific, but we’ll introduce familiar characters in a younger time. That’ll be fun to show the audience. I call these movies in-between-quels. It’s a mind-f**k sometimes in terms of where things fall in the timeline!”
