The Goldbergs is an American television programme that premiered on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 on ABC. The series was created by Adam F. Goldberg and stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jeff Garlin, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia and George Segal. The show is produced by Goldberg, Seth Gordon, and Doug Robinson. It is loosely based on Goldberg's childhood and family in the 1980s, complete with a childhood version of himself.

Before there were parenting blogs, trophies for showing up, or peanut allergies, there was a simpler, awesome time called the '80s. For geeky 11-year old Adam (Darien Provost) these were his wonder years and he faced them armed with a video camera to capture all the crazy.

The Goldbergs are a loving family like any other, just with a lot more yelling.
Mom Beverly (Wendi McClendon-Covey, BRIDESMAIDS) is a classic "smother"; an overbearing, overprotective matriarch who rules this brood with 100% authority and zero sense of boundaries.
Dad Murray (Jeff Garlin, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM) is a gruff, hot-tempered father who is learning how to parent without screaming after a recent health scare... and having little luck.
Sister Erica (Hayley Orrantia) is 17, hot, terrifying and not one to mess with.
Barry (Troy Gentile) is 16, a grade A spaz with a classic middle child syndrome.
Adam is the youngest, a camera-wielding future director who's crushing on an older woman, 15 year-old Zoe.
Rounding out the family is beloved grandfather Al "Pops" Solomon (George Segal), the wild man of the clan, a shameless Don Juan who's schooling Adam in the ways of love. When Pops buys a new sports car and offers his Caddy to middle child Barry, it's enough to drive this already high-strung family to the brink of chaos.

From Adam Sandler's production company HappyMadison, directed by Seth Gordon (IDENTITY THIEF, HORRIBLE BOSSES) and inspired by writer and Executive Producer Adam F. Goldberg's (BREAKING IN, FANBOYS) own experiences growing up as the youngest child in a highly screwed-up but loving family comes a hilarious new comedy, THE GOLDBERGS.

Furlong: Watch It
I love the Goldbergs! This super '80s-tastic sitcom did what most this season couldn't: It actually made me laugh. Great casting, fun throwbacks and plenty of familiar with a funny twist.

Etkin: DVR It
The very basic premise -- a dysfunctional Jewish family in the '80s -- made me want to like this one, but "The Goldbergs" didn't exactly hit where I wanted it to. The Dad translation IBM-style subtitles didn't work for me and unfortunately, the middle brother at the center of the pilot's storyline is easily the least likable character. But the real-life side-by-side videos of the characters that inspired "The Goldbergs" warmed my heart.

Moaba: DVR It
Basically a Jewish, ‘80s version of Fox’s “Surviving Jack,” and it works in a similar way. A great performance from Wendy McLendon-Covey carries it, Jeff Garlin seems to be having fun yelling like Jeff Garlin, and Patton Oswalt makes a great narrator. The real-life home videos at the end tied it together nicely.

Harnick: DVR It
There's something here, but it's buried under a few unnecessary characters and clunky lines.

Prudom: DVR It
Charming, nostalgic and sweet, like an old baby blanket -- but not a watercooler show. Young lead Sean Giambrone is astoundingly charismatic for his age, which is even more remarkable considering that this is his first major role.

Weingus: DVR It
I'm all for '80s nostalgia and I love Jeff Garlin, but I had higher hopes for "The Goldbergs." There's definitely turnaround potential though, so set your DVRs.

Radnja je više za film nego za sitcom. Nije da sam plakala od smijeha. Zapravo je najbolja scena ona na kraju kad *spoiler alert* su suprotstavljene scene iz serije s onima iz prave autorove obitelji.

Još koju epku pa ćemo vidjeti. Par scena je valjalo, ko zna, možda ispadnu nešto ala prošlogodišnji The Neighbors.....or not

Nakon pogledanog trejlera rekla sam da mi ima nešto malcolmovsko u sebi i nakon i druge odgledane epke sve više stojim iza toga, ak potraje fino će ić u paketu s Raising Hope i The Middle

i za kraj repanje, šteta šta je mala slika, ali ta scena je bila brutalna

Ovo mi je ko da gledam Middle u 80-ima. Treba im vremena da se uhodaju, na dobrom su putu.

I zaboravih napisat da mi je super šta na kraju epizode vidimo prave snimke.

jel se vi sjećate onih idiotskih tenisica kao što su bile ove sa zrakom ili one sa silkom i najveća pošast od svih, one koje su svjetlucale dok hodaš

Ovo mi je do sada najbolja ep. Garlinova mi je uloga najbolja. Bilo bi fora još kad bi Garlin dove tu i tamo u koju epizodu Larry Davida, oni su stvarno ubojiti dvojac.
