Odnosi OSRH sa vojskama zapadnih zemalja

Zanima me s kojim vojskama ostvarujemo najbolju suradnju (osim SAD-a naravno).?

New agreement on the way for Croatian helicopters
Published: November 17, 2010 at 13:31
Nordic Battlegroup

After intensive work, it is now clear how a Croatian helicopter contribution should be incorporated in the Nordic Battle Group during the period of duty and the possible deployment. Contract is planned to be signed in December.

In the final exercise for the Nordic Battlegroup, NBG, two Croatian helicopters has participated. Now is a contract for standby and possible action is ready for signature. The helicopters will complement NBG's ability to care for and evacuate the wounded to field hospitals or other advanced care.

Amela Rudebark, EU officials at Headquarters, has been involved since the initial contacts with Croatia a year ago.

- We got in touch with Croatia in connection with the Armed Forces in many European countries examined whether there were helicopters that could reinforce in Afghanistan. That was not, but we still continued to keep in touch with the Croats. Now, this has resulted in a bilateral cooperation, "she says.

Negotiations in two steps

It has been very active work throughout the summer to produce an agreement. It also sought government decisions in both countries. In the first stage of the negotiations it was agreed that two Croatian medical helicopters with 22 crew members including medical personnel, would participate in the NBG's final exercise on Swedish soil. This week the last part of negotiations were completed in a successful way at the headquarters in Stockholm

- The road to date has included tough challenges and required a lot of commitment from both sides. It has also been an interesting journey of newfound experiences and new friends, "said Amela Rudebark.

In Case of dedicated work

It is now the final negotiated agreement for the emergency and any action is planned to be signed December 17 by representatives of each nation. Both delegations have worked hard and dedicated and are very happy that they arrived at the finish.

- This partnership also illustrates the general European idea of multi-national cooperation and a broader engagement with countries that are being integrated in the EU, which it has no defense cooperation within the EU, "said Amela Rudebark.
