Veep is an American HBO political comedy television series, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, set in the office of Selina Meyer, a fictional Vice President, and subsequent President, of the United States.

Former Senator Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) has accepted the call to serve as Vice President of the United States. The job is nothing like she imagined and everything she was warned about. 'Veep' follows Meyer and her staff as they attempt to make their mark and leave a lasting legacy, without getting tripped up in the day-to-day political games that define Washington.

Meyer's inner circle includes: her chief of staff Amy (Anna Chlumsky), longtime press spokesperson Mike McClintock (Matt Walsh), right hand and body man Gary (Tony Hale) and secretary Sue (Sufe Bradshaw) all of whom often do battle with Dan Egan (Reid Scott) an ambitious interloper and smug White House liaison Jonah (Tim Simons).

Created by Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, In the Loop), the comedy is scripted but shot in an improvisational style. 'Veep' is authentic without being specifically biographical about what it is like to hold the least effectual post in the most powerful office in the world.

Veep has received critical acclaim and won several major awards. It has been nominated four years in a row for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, winning the award for its fourth season. Its second season won the Writers Guild of America Award for Television: Comedy Series, and its third season won the TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy. Louis-Dreyfus has won four consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards, one Screen Actors Guild Award, two Critics' Choice Television Awards and one Television Critics Association Award for her performance.

Veep premiered on HBO on April 22, 2012, with an eight-episode season. This was followed by a second season of ten episodes debuting on April 14, 2013. HBO renewed Veep for a ten-episode third season that began on April 6, 2014. HBO ordered a fourth season of Veep, which premiered on April 12, 2015. HBO ordered a fifth season of Veep.

Kao prvo, Julia rastura

kao drugo, mislim da serija ima dosta potencijala, pogotovo ako se malo zadube u te druge likove i krenu ih negdje razvijati

da sam se nešto puno smijao, pa baš i nisam, ali ovo mi je svejdeno dobro

Meni je ovo jako dobro, imam isti osjećaj kao nakon što sam pogledao prvu Parks and Recreation, mislim da će biti sve bolja.

Gleda se i dalje, uz ostalo i zbog male iz My girl (u In the loop je isto bila izvrsna), kajjazna, baš mi je simpa.

Taj njezin izraz lica kad čuje da predsjednik ima bolove u prsima je prejeben. I kako se ovaj tip odmah ustrtario da će mu sad ona bit šefica.

Predobra je serija.
