@ Gosn. kotlokrpa to da su Izraelci elektronički ometali Pantsyr-S1E je puste želje izraelskih medija .. osim toga osim radara Pantsyr-S1E ima i optičko i IC navođenje.
Inače cijela Sirijska protuzračna obrana je jedna velika NULA koncetrirana oko 6 najvećih gradova .. sve ostalo su rupe nepokrivene radarom koje su prije patrolirali MIG-23/25.

As the US Air Force (USAF) deploys the first examples of the Fairchild Republic A-10C Thunderbolt II close air support aircraft, upgraded under the Precision Engagement (PE) programme, to Iraq, plans are in hand for further improvements to the aircraft. After the PE upgrade (scheduled for all 356 OA/A-10A models by 2011) and undertaken by Lockheed Martin, the USAF's priority is to upgrade the A-10's two current General Electric TF34-GE-100 high-bypass ratio turbofan engines.

India eyes IAI's Harop attack UAV
The Indian Air Force could become the first customer for Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI's) Harop (Harpy-2) anti-radar attack unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Jane's has learned that New Delhi is negotiating the procurement of eight to 10 Harops.

USN awaits first production EA-18G aircraft delivery
Boeing is expected to deliver the first production model of its EA-18G Growler combat support aircraft in late September, continuing a pattern of on-time and early deliveries for the US Navy's (USN's) newest electronic attack aircraft. The G-1 is the first of four production aircraft to be delivered in the coming months to Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.

Pakistan seeks missiles, radar from France: Report PARIS, Sept 13 (AP) - Pakistan is seeking to buy missiles and radar from France for a fighter plane that it is developing jointly with China, Jane's Defense Weekly said Pakistan is talking to France about getting air-to-air missiles from the MBDA company and radars from Thales for its JF-17 fighter, it said. Those missiles and similar radars also equip Taiwan's French-built Mirage fighters, defences that could be compromised if Pakistan transfers the technology to China, according to Jane's. Asked Thursday about the report, Defence Minister Herve Morin replied: "To my knowledge, there is no arms embargo for Pakistan." He noted that France has a system of controls on arms exports and referred further questions to the prime minister's office. Without confirming that talks with Pakistan are under way, Defence Ministry spokesman Laurent Teisseire said: "We have no reason not to cooperate with Pakistan on its leading projects." He dismissed concerns of any possible technology leak to China, citing arms control measures that would be part of any such sale.

Heh, dobro su se sjetili kinezi. Dobiti na uvid par MICA te radara vrlo vjerojatno srodnih RDY-u jako bi im fino došlo u slučaju sukoba nad Tajvanom. Budući da su francuzi ionako praktički raskinuli vojnu suradnju s Tajvanom, sumnjam da će im biti problem prodati zatraženo.

BARP exhibits new Satellit EW system
A new electronic warfare (EW) system - designed as part of an upgrade programme for the Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG (RSK-MiG) MiG-29 and Sukhoi Su-27/30 fighter aircraft - has been displayed by the Baranovichi Aircraft Repair Plant (BARP) No 558 in the Republic of Belarus. Saab awaits JAS 39 fighter funding decision from Swedish government
The Swedish government was expected to have approved funding for the upgrade of 31 in-service JAS 39A Gripens to JAS 39C configuration together with a Gripen Demonstrator Programme by 20 September, as IDR was going to press. Johan Lehander, Managing Director of Saab's Gripen International subsidiary, speaking during the company's 70th Anniversary celebrations at Linköping on 31 August 2007, said that the company was waiting on a decision from the government after the Swedish parliament voted in June to fund the programme, which will be worth SEK4.1 billion (USD600 million) over six years

Saudis launch Tornado upgrade
Saudi Arabia has launched a multimillion-dollar project to upgrade its fleet of 84 Panavia Tornado Interdiction Strike (IDS) aircraft to eventually enable them to employ a range of 'smart weapons'. Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) officers visiting the UK as part of Exercise 'Saudi Green Flag' told a media briefing that work on the Tornado Sustainment Programme (TSP) has been under way for several months

BAE Systems set to invest heavily in transformation
UK-based defence aerospace group BAE Systems (BAE) has said that it is willing to "sacrifice profit today to make a sustainable future", investing in the transformation of its UK land systems armoured vehicle business as it competes for work on the UK Future Rapid Effect System (FRES) programme. On 30 August, during a briefing at the group's integration design site at Leicester, BAE said that it is keen to transform "the perception of us as metal bashers" to that of a systems integrator, as it works towards winning the Vehicle Integrator (VI) role on the UK FRES programme to build around 2,000 armoured utility vehicles (UVs) for the British Army

Kazakhstan signs MiG-31 upgrade contract with Russia
Russian Aircraft Corporation (RSK) MiG has signed a USD60 million contract with Kazakhstan, through Rosoboronexport, for the upgrade of the country's fleet of MiG-31 interceptor aircraft. The contract includes spares, support, training and simulators for the country's MiG-29 fighter aircraft. Kazakh First Deputy Defence Minister General Mukhtar Altynbayev said that under the terms of the contract 10 MiG-31s will be modernised this year, followed by another 10 in 2008

USAF issues Phase 2 funds for continued hybrid UAV work
The US Air Force (USAF) Research Laboratories (AFRL) have released Phase 2 funding worth USD750,000 for the continued development of a hybrid unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of remaining airborne for up to one year at 65,000 ft. A D-STAR Engineering Corporation spokesperson told Jane's that the allocation of Phase 2 funding follows the successful completion of the USD100,000 Phase 1 conceptual development and preliminary design stage of the programme in May 2007

Poland unveils PZL W-3PL helicopter
Poland's new PZL W-3PL combat support helicopter was due to be unveiled at MSPO 2007 defence technology fair in Kielce, Poland, from 3-6 September. I bolje da se Europa koncentrira na što manje projekata. Ovako će sada u igri ostati samo dva velika projekta, EADS s Neuronom i BAE s Taranisom, što bi trebalo pomoći da dobiju više novca za razvoj.
