Klasičan slučaj za present simple, nešto se događa stalno, redovito.

Mislim (dakle općenito, mišljenja sam, smatram); debljaš se (sad, ovih dana; ne nužno redovito/cijeli život).

On se probudio (jednom, kratko), ona je sjedila kod prozora (neko dulje vrijeme prije toga, ne znamo koliko). Gledala je van (isto neko vrijeme), no kad ju je zazvao (kratko, jednom), okrenula se i nasmiješila.

The murderer was carrying the corpse down the stairs when he heard a knock on the door.

Klasična situacija: neka radnja se događa neko vrijeme (past continuous) pa je prekine neka druga radnja (past simple).

Objašnjenje kao i gore.

Prvo, pitanje je malo
Mene zanima kada se u engleskom jeziku koristi "present perfect continuous"
i "present perfect simple". Ako možete malo i pojasniti.Ova moja nastavnica nema pojma,sve definicije prevodi iz neke knjižurine i veli ona present perfect continuous(prošlo sadašnje nesvršeno vrijeme)a dat će nam kontrolni odmah nakon uskrsnog raspusta.HELP

E, ljudi ovako. Zna li netko možda gdje se mogu naći na internetu testovi iz engleskog vezani uz knjigu New Headway Intermediate - fourth edition. Probala sam sa stranicama koje pišu na knjizi, al' sumnjam da je netko toliko glup da ih stavi tamo. Profesorica stavlja isključivo njihove testove (headway) sad ne znam iz koje godine (možda su testovi vezani uz drugi udžbenik - Headway third edition) Moooolim vas ako mi ikako možete pomoć, puno biste pomogli mojoj prijateljici koju će vjerojatno poslati na popravak. Znam da bi se tebali potrudit bla, bla bla, al' stvarno profesoricin način predavanja je očajan i ništa se ne može naučit. Puno biste također pomogli i meni i ostalim "englezima" koji si ne mogu priuštiti instrukcije. Hvala.

Imam neka pitanja u vezi gramatike pa ako mi netko može pomoći.
Nisam siguran za prijevod glagola uz prilog to,npr: Windows move data to make room.Da li se ovdje "to make" prevađa kao "da napravi" ili "da se napravi"

Postoje li neki standardizirani testovi engleskog jezika za osobe koje žele ići raditi u USA? Nešto poput CEF (Common European framework for languages) za Europu?
