From Denmark we get a Christmas present before Christmas.
Researchers in Denmark used a national base of infected to analyze the effectiveness of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. The results have surprised many. Already three months after the second dose, the protection against the Delta variant has fallen to 50%, and against Omicron was -76%. So the vaccinated had a much higher chance of getting infected with Omicron than the unvaccinated.
Why am I saying this is a Christmas present? Because this research is a very clear proof that covid-confirmations that allow vaccinated people not to get tested are actually very harmful. Covid-confirmations are currently the biggest obstacle to normal functioning in Croatia and I hope that our Government will soon abolish them. If the Government doesn't do it, I hope the Constitutional Court will consider these very clear scientific evidence of the harmfulness of covid-confirmations and order their abolition.
To everyone who systematically analyzes the data it was clear that covid-confirmations were harmful as soon as we saw that protection against the infection decreases very quickly after vaccination (the evidence was surpassed by several members of the Scientific Council at the last meeting). Unfortunately when I spoke it publicly on me I was faced with a canon of attacks from the kitchen of pandemic marketing and the Government ultimately decided to introduce covid-confirmations into public and public services. For some reason they still considered scientific insights so they did not expand them to other areas, which still caused less damage than most European governments did. I'm sure they won't admit the mistake, but I hope they will quickly correct it and abolish the covid-confirmations.
